Jesse and Joy Johnson, Founders

Jesse and Joy started Discovery School in 2008. Joy is the Dean of Studies and Jesse is a member of the board, chief advisor to the Director and also heads up the Vision and Mission Support office. Joy has a Master of Education Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Dallas Baptist University. Jesse has an Master's in Christian Thought from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.

Lucien Nahishakiye, Director

Lucien joined the Discovery School leadership team in 2010 as the overall head of school (Director) but is also in charge of administration and human resources. Lucien has a Bachelor's Degree in Christian Education and has completed his Master's in Educational Leadership.

Alice Niyonkuru, Assistant Dean of Studies

Alice joined Discovery School first as a teacher and then as Assistant Dean of Studies. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Ghana.

Donatien Harerimana, Academic Assistant

Donatien came to Discovery School as a teacher before joining the administrative team as an Academic Assistant. He has a Teacher Qualification Diploma, and a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.

Ezekiel Ndikumana, Dean of Discipline

Ezekiel makes sure that education at Discovery School is not just limited to knowledge and theory and that it includes building character, and learning Christian values. He has a Bachelor's Degree in History and is pursuing his Master's in Theology. 

Annonciate Ntiranyibagira, Accountant

Annonciate is the school accountant. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and an MBA. 

Esperance Bandyantwenga, Cashier and Accounts Assistant

Esperance first served as a preschool teacher, then as Receptionist, and now as Cashier and Accounts Assistant.

She has an Associates Degree in Business Administration and is pursuing a Bachelor's in the same field. 

Christella Bayishime, Receptionist and Accounts Assistant

Christella serves as our Receptionist and is also an Accounts Assistant. She has a Bachelor's in Law. 

Gerard Nsengiyumva, Logistics Coordinator

Gerard was first a teacher at Discovery School and now serves as Logistics Coordinator. He has a Teacher Qualification Diploma and among his other duties is most notably responsible for all catering and the smooth running of the Cafeteria.
